The Merry Karnowsky Gallery in LA will be moving into a new space (in the same building).
For the first show in the new, larger space the gallery will house two distinct bodies of work.
The Main Gallery will contain works by Jeff Koegel and myself.
I will be showing a collection of works from flat to relief.
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 10, 8-11pm
My work will be on the cover of Art Ltd. Magazine’s special ecological issue.

Who Killed the Music will be opening its art exhibit under the same name at the Grammy Museum this year during Grammy Week. Will.I.Am is curating the project along with co curator and artist Kris Lewis. The exhibit is a group show of about 15 artists and is scheduled to open January 24. Each art piece was specially commissioned for the Who Killed The Music concept. Last month during the Grammy nominations announcements Will.I.Am held a press conference announcing the Art exhibit, Who Killed The Music documentary and a special one night event with international DJ/Producer David Guetta. The two are teaming up to throw a Dip Night: Party for a Cause benefitting the i.am Scholarship (http://iamscholarship.dipdive.com/) foundation.
The art exhibit opening at the Grammy Museum on January 24, 2010 will benefit two important foundations that support young people in the arts.
The Grammy Foundation was established in 1989 and its mission is to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture. In addition the Grammy Foundation has partnered with The Recording Academy to bring awareness to the importance of music and arts in education.
The I.AM Scholarship Foundation was created by Will.I.Am in 2009. Each year a new I.AM Scholar will be selected and will receive a full 4 year scholarship to attend college in pursuits of a degree in either Computer Technology, Film & Television or Journalism and New Media programs.

Capsule 01
I was asked to contribute some images to Capsule 01, a project from the people at Multilink.
Capsule is a limited edition series of archival art books showcasing a diverse selection of contemporary artists and illustrators.
Volume one in this collectible catalog of ideas and inspiration features the work of ten international contributors. A melting pot of styles and techniques from a variety of visual practices and creative backgrounds.

Who Killed the Music?
Will.i.am brings together 15 top visual artists to comment on the current state of the music industry.
On the heels of last year’s successful Worlds on Fire Grammy-themed art show, performing artist Will.i.am has teamed up with visual artist Kris Lewis to create Who Killed the Music, an exhibition of new work by 15 artists from around the country. The exhibition will open January 24 and will close January 31, Grammy Night, and will be held at the L.A. Lives Target Terrace, right above the Grammy Museum.
“This show will feature some of the most popular, cutting-edge artists in various media representing the theme the title suggests,” says Lewis. “This is completely open to interpretation from the artists but could mean anything from the death of the art of the full-length album and the rise of file sharing to musicians breaking sonic boundaries and essentially killing the genres that came before them. In featuring influential and exciting visual artists, we hope to present a new and powerful perspective on the state of music today.”

The International Drawing Annual publication was conceived as an extension of Manifest’s Drawing Center mission to promote, feature, and explore drawing as a rich and culturally significant art form.
The goal of the International Drawing Annual is to support the recognition, documentation, and publication of excellent, current, and relevant works of drawing from around the world.
This supplemental resource website offers biographical information and artist’s statements for each of the artists included in each annual volume of the exhibition-in-print. One detail image from each artist is also provided for reference relative to their information.
